Also a planet-burning machine. They’re very versatile that way.

Something like a syndication model makes a lot of sense. Certainly more sense than every studio or legacy network trying to operate its own streamer. I also see a lot of potential in FAST services like Pluto, Freevee, and Tubi. Locking old content behind a premium-priced ad-free streamer isn't necessary.

So like Plex for porn?

Did you all know that you can leave your reader in airplane mode and return a borrowed book early so the next person on the waitlist can get it? As long as you keep your reader in airplane mode, you can still read your book. Also works to keep a book past its due date if you need more time to finish.

Best to go with chargers with replaceable cables. If you do that, I don't see any reason the charger shouldn't outlive the phone.

Spacetime is really a wonderful channel. The way they make actual quantum physics comprehensible to normal people is incredible.

That’s my problem, actually. I very much do not want music bundled with ad-free YouTube. I’d pay a reasonable price for an unbundled version, but the Premium family plan is more than the top-tier Netflix or Max subscription.

They already sent a legal warning to them but apparently didn’t realize that Invidious doesn’t use their API and never agreed to any terms of service.

Hey y'all. How goes your pride month?

Anchorage, Alaska is considering a dramatic simplification of zoning codes to address their housing shortage. The proposal divides the city into just two residential zones, one for areas with municipal services and one for areas on wells and septic. Not only greater density but also compatible non-residential uses would be permitted.

The best way to protect ourselves from wildfire is to not build where we’re exposed to wildfires. That means infill and density and managed retreat from the most vulnerable areas.
