I run my server off of an M1 Mac Mini with 2 Thunderbolt 4 ports. On those two ports, I have two OWC USB-C HDD enclosures (not Thunderbolt) which are powered by their own external power supplies.

Belkin 4-Port USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 Black AVC018btBK - Best Buy

  1. If I added that, would it work to add additional powered enclosures? Or do I need a powered hub or docking station?
  2. Would it be a huge detriment to my read/write speeds for the devices on the hub if it works?

The best quality streamer I have found is Apple TV+ which seems to range in the 25mb/s range for 4K content.

They need WiFi 6E to make me consider upgrading.

You would be best and most simply served by two devices.

Order a Firewalla Gold (or gold plus) and then any WiFi router or mesh system that you want, set it to bridge mode. Eero hides a lot of their stuff behind a $9.99 subscription, but the Firewalla does it better anyway.

You did not mention budget, so if money is no object I'd grab a 2 pack Eero 7 Max or a three pack Eero Pro 6. I would not recommend the 6E or 6+, check the reviews.

You will be set for years.

The bundle is a dead link for me.

I have found that the motherboards on these combo deals can be the weakest point lacking.

Never been happy with my ASUS I got with my 12700k. Double check the reviews on the mother board. It's really a component you don't want to get wrong.
