Protip: Live in Europe and you don't even need to go anywhere :-)

I'm 46, the parts of my life where I haven't needed to use a car every day have been great for my physical and mental health ... now I live too far from work I use a little 125 motorbike to commute, and it's still much nicer than having to take a car. When I am forced to take a car, the one I have is small and economical.

I didn't start figuring this out until I was 30, maybe you need a few more years to mature enough to throw off the consumerist mindset?

At 85 years old my Mum can't drive or walk, she does her own shopping with an electric mobility scooter and occasionally needs the help of others ... that works fine for her because she lives in what might be called a "15 minute city" these days.

Just walk in to the local shop on your way to/from wherever else you're going (or just to get out of the house for two minutes if you've been working from home) ... that way you can have fresh ingredients every day, and you're walking a bit regularly so you don't get overweight easily

Ah ok, no I only ride Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, or Indian motorcycles, none of that silly German or Italian stuff!

(never has neutral problems with any of them)

So, it's nearly the middle of October and I'm here in Europe "enjoying" the long-running heatwave ... 27ยฐC outside right now, hasn't rained in about a month.

So, any guesses for how much October is going to break records?

Happy pride graph! All the economists see the numbers going up so they think it's really good

Movie from the '70s that was set in the 60s ... representing the 1964 clash between the Mods (scooter riders) and Rockers (bikers) on the beach in Brighton, UK.

There are places where people still do Mod rideouts and many have them decked out like the picture though the riders are a bit too crusty to be getting into fights these days.

Good choice, I've had a 2014 ER6f for about 6 years now and apart from the fit and finish being a bit crap it's been a fab bike ... lots more fun than the faster bikes I had before and if you have good form it can go well on the track too (the frame geometry really responds to rider weight movement). Also the ER6n was used by one of the former European Moto Gymkhana champions, too :-)

Protip: if there's no record of the forks being rebuilt it's a worthwhile thing to have done on any bike that's over 10 years old!

Good brake pads, braided lines, and aftermarket handlebars all made noticeable improvements for me, too.

Wut?

I can find neutral just as easily on my ER6f as any other Japanese bike I've owned

You just have to whisper the right word in his ear. Usually something to do with feet.

That sounds cool, I kinda want a Star Trek themed bandana now ...
