I started watching The X Files for the first time. I was scared of it when I was a kid. If I was flipping through channels and heard the intro music I would nope right the hell out and find something else. After watching the pilot episode at 32 I’m hooked! Mulder and Skully are so good together. And god damn, why are they both so attractive?!

I painted this Christmas card to mail to my mom using water color and acrylic paints on multimedia blank cards from Blick. All the Bob Ross I’ve watched finally came in handy- I am pleased with how this happy little tree came out.
I guess my Dutch ovens were a little too small for the boules I shaped. The exteriors aren’t too pretty but the crumb is near perfect. This is my first time making Pain De Campagne from Flour Water Salt Yeast and I’m really happy with the result.
I was feeling tropical
2 ounces white rum (Bacardi)
1/2 ounce maraschino liqueur (Luxardo)
3/4 ounce lime juice, freshly squeezed
1/2 ounce grapefruit juice, freshly squeezed
Garnish: lime wheel
Light shake then strained into a coup glass

I just finished reading Your Inner Fish by Neil Shubin and it goes into the many changes our ancient ancestors underwent over hundreds of millions of years to arrive at human anatomy. It’s really fascinating how paleontologists and biologists study fossils to put all the pieces together.
