I just thought of the library idea just before I clicked on this. I don't know why I didn't think of that before.

I figured as much. I was hoping there was a workaround like I could call Apple or something.

Nothing applies to cops. They seem to be able to do whatever they want.

Yeah the cops came to our house one time for something some kid did it wasn't even related to us. My dog comes out and the cop says, if you don't take control of your dog I'm going to shoot him. That was a mellowest dog I ever had, if you said boo it would hide under the bed. What a dick head.

Why is it that the party that loves guns so much can't fucking shoot.

Where are your nuclear wessels?

Wow, Babylon 5 is on Tubi, free with commercials. I am going to watch again.

It was definitely one of the best sci-fi series I've ever watched. But some of the dialogue and the banter between some of the people was kind of, I don't know, maybe not cheesy but cute? Amusing? Wouldn't mind watching it again. The '90s were a long time ago.

Yeah I don't get it. My mom calls up her prayer warriors and starts praying for things. And yet God is omniscient and all seeing why do you have to pray? And when something good happens, is a prayer answered from God. If something bad happens then it's just the will of God. And humans can't understand the mind of God. It's like a big circle jerk.

I like Babylon 5. Was kind of cheesy but I liked it anyway.

Wait, we're not in the simulation?

I'm sitting here on the holy sabbath reading atheist memes while my mother watches sermons.

My mom and her prayer warriors have been praying to get my car fixed quickly. My car has been in the shop for a month. Apparently the omniscient omnipresent God of the universe can't fix a car.

I tried switching to Gemini on my Samsung phone. Then I found out the Gemini can't open apps on my Android phone. This is kind of a deal breaker because it doesn't actually replace assistant. And it looks like Google is about to replace assistant with Gemini since it laid off most of his assistant workers. I don't see how this helps.

Even on Android it seems like every game they put out these days is a gotcha MMORPG. I don't really like playing with other people because they keep telling me how bad I am at the game. It's just a game. So I was wondering if there was a good Android RPG that doesn't have any social or gotcha parts of it.

In some studies, at the end of them, I see:

"quitting smoking reduces your chance of dying from all causes."

So if I quit smoking I'm less likely to get hit by a bus?

I'm not sure if I can post here. Lemmy seems kind of complicated. For instance, I tried to post something and it said I can't because I'm on a local instance. So how do I find out what instance a community is on and how do I make it so I can post?

An example: I went to https://join-lemmy.org/instances and searched for nostupidqestions and nothing was found.

Many of us spend our lives thinking of science and philosophy. Looking for answers to the meaning of life the universe and our place in it. And then eventually we die. Have we not accomplished anything? Does our knowledge somehow live on beyond death? What is the point of seeking knowledge?
