Countering Plague is not as simple as “don’t cleanse.” Unless your entire squad are god-like loopers who can play the whole game injured without going down, you should absolutely cleanse against Plague. Some of my easiest Plague games have been against teams that don’t cleanse. Just know where and when to do it.

Try to cleanse at fountains on the edges of the map or in areas where gens are already done. You want to make Plague have to go out of her way to get her power (swamp is brutal against Plague because her fountains can spawn on the very edge of the map). Don’t cleanse if there’s a high risk you’ll be infected again right away (ie. stop cleansing before unhooking your fully infected teammate). And if you’re entire team is cleansing back-to-back, you should too, as fast as possible. If you have a chance to force Plague’s power onto her, you should. Not only are you denying her more potential uses of her power, but you’re likely forcing onto her at an inopportune time.

As a former Apollo user, there are two features I’m missing that I would love to see added in the future:

  1. A jump to next comment chain button. Tap to jump down and hold to jump back. It makes navigating lengthy comments sections much faster.

  2. I imagine this one is pretty hard to implement, but I loved being able to return to a page I just closed by swiping left from the right edge of screen in Apollo. It wouldn’t just take you to the post either, it would take you to the exact spot you were at, so if you were deep in the comments, you could jump right back in where you left off. This feature is so useful for swipe-based apps like Memmy where if you accidentally swipe out of a post before you were done reading, you could easily swipe back in.

I’m glad they’ve finally decided to let it end instead of continuing to drag it through the identity crisis it was having in the last several seasons. Going back to the ending of the Chorus trilogy was a great move, too. This is the first time I’ve been excited about RvB in quite a while. I hope it sticks the landing and goes out on a high note.
