They don't really have anything to gain by delaying until October, and they lose any power/credibility they have anyway if they make this an empty threat.
The current government is a minority government, so the opposition parties can force an election whenever. By law, the next election has to occur by October 5th, but the opposition will likely trigger an election at the earliest opportunity. This is why Trudeau also delayed the next next sitting of parliament until March, to allow the party to elect a new leader before the inevitable election.
Long story short, the Conservatives will likely be in power by summer.

This part is untrue. The problem is that no one can even come close to agreeing on what actual system to change to. As the centrist party, First past the post is just about the worst style for the Liberals.
All you have to do is come up with a new name for it. It's not like any of them have a clue about what socialism actually entails.
At this point, I think it's more helpful to try and prove which percentage of humanity is not insane. Because right now, I'm pretty sure 100% of humanity suffers from at least one brand of insanity.

Syria no longer has the military power to pose a real threat to Turkey, so they likely wouldn't invoke article five anyway. Plus, if they invoke article five, they would then have all of NATO camped in their backyard. That would put a serious damper on any of the more egregious things Erdogan wants to get away with.

HDD read rates are way faster than media playback rates, and seek times are just about irrelevant in that use case. Spinning rust is fine for media storage. It's boot drives, VM/container storage, etc, that you would want to have on an SSD instead of the big HDD.
