Dislike smoking but realize that for addicts often public infrastructure doesn't give you a lot of options for getting rid of butts. Seems like biodegradable butts should be mandatory. On the other hand I will lean into my horn if I see someone throwing butts out of their car. That is inexcusable - get an ashtray for your vehicle.

Indeed it is. If you want to illustrate the point that silicon and copper are faster than bioelectric lumps of fat there are lots of ways to do this and it's no contest, but this is not a well done study.

I guess you don't. I gave the reasons that I do

Had this thought looking for an outlet timer recently. There doesn't seem to be anything in between a displayless smart plug and these ridiculous tiny display, crazy button interface things that require referencing a manual every time you want to change something. Smart outlets are great, but when you are standing right in front of something or you want other people to be able to easily program something and have a quick visual reference of something like a timer on time, a user friendly interface would really be nice.

That's great! Stc looks like a different effort. Variety is great on this front as it's a monumental task archiving these papers.

Scihub database stops in 2021. Big win for corporate publishers and wealthy scientists; they've had an edge since then. It's super important to have access to up to date resources. The database here seems to fill the gap - Merry Christmas to me!!

'slavery' in quotes really seems to soften the blow. Like the time I 'punched' my boss.

I'm 90% cast iron, carbon steel, or stainless but you need to be pretty committed or pretty scared to not use any nonstick if you are a busy person. Sometimes the ease of throwing something on a nonstick with little to no oil and a fast easy cleanup or leave it with sauce sitting in it for a day or two and then deal with it later just can't be beat. The trick with nonstick is to avoid high heats and buy a new one every two years or so. Go cheap when doing so. I've found no real advantage of the expensive nonsticks over the cheap ones.

What now? Of all the things stainless excels at, cleaning certainly isn't one of them. Much easier to clean a nonstick or iron pan. The nice thing about stainless is you can use aggressive scouring pads or barkeepers friend etc to go to town on them at least, but stainless excels at adhesion and heat distribution and makes for a tougher cleanup.
