I'd like to know too. I've been using the free tier for years now and hosted a bunch of different stuff on it (no VPN though) and never had any problems
Helio
Good to know, I was wondering why I couldn't see any kbin stuff here
Rimworld is great, has a massive modding community as well
Your account lives on the server you registered in. You can't use it to log into other servers but you can interact with communities and posts in other servers (I'm from sh.itjust.works posting on sopuli.xyz). That's my understanding anyways. I think the spinning button is a bug, I ran into it as well when registering an account
I'd like to know too, the way this is worded makes me believe that we will not be federated with NSFW instances. I hope the admin reconsiders this decision
Arch Linux. It's too convenient. The AUR hosts a massive amount of packages, wiki is super detailed and covers solutions for all sorts of edge cases. Needs a bit of tinkering to get started but once things are set up it's very stable, and still gives you a lot of freedom to tinker with your system however you want. The only other option I've considered is NixOS which has some pretty interesting features
I've used Godot a lot for 2D games and it's a great engine. I found it much easier to grasp than Unity or Unreal. It's lightweight, fast, and runs great on Linux. I can't think of many reasons to not use Godot, especially as an indie dev, except maybe that the 3D side is not as refined as other engines right now, but it's still very workable and being constantly improved upon. I recommend giving it a shot for sure if you're interested in getting into game dev.
