Don't think you're grown and will only make smart decisions now. I only started making the right decisions yesterday. And I'll say the same thing tomorrow.

Older cars have lower rates. You can drive a fifteen year old POS and get full coverage for $20.

No Democrats in Hawaii period? Fake news

It's gotta be done.

Voyager has all the features. There are only a couple others that are full featured.

As Trump has proven, people will vote for an unqualified person so you really just need a warm body.

I'd vote for it but probably not.

Sometimes I make ramen... and then I put it in the air fryer with some soy sauce and make it crunchy again.

Yes you are correct. I was talking to the idea that if we have a brokered convention we still suck at picking candidates most of the time.

You are correct that this is different because the incumbent gets a free pass and we didn't have a real primary between equal candidates.

Got something installed in the earlier days of the web that would hijack the screen. I was able to identify the process in the task manager and delete it before it could replicate again

This comes up everytime I open vanced. I've followed the link and started to follow the instructions but I don't have that app installed (under that name) so I cannot disable the optimizations. I'm pretty sure I did install it but it's not listed in apps.

The halls of science, known for prim propriety and careful debate, are feuding. A new theory of gravity challenges Einstein's general relativity, our current understanding of that thing that keeps our feet on the ground. Physicists are upset.

"Cotton gravity"—named in honor of mathematician Émile Cotton, not fluffy flora—was first posited by Japanese researcher Junpei Harada in 2021. The idea, which modifies general relativity and discounts the theory of dark matter, spurred a surprisingly catty argument on arXiv.org, an open-access website for scientific preprints.

Things got nerdy. And hilarious. Endless Thread explains.

Shaquille O'Neal has some advice: "If you are going to retire, accept it. Enjoy your family," he recently said on The Big Podcast With Shaq. "I made a lot of dumb mistakes to where I lost my family. I don't have anybody."

His statement, directed at retiring NFL star Jason Kelce, raised concern online. "What happened with Shaq?" asked one Reddit user in a popular thread. "I thought he was [a] super nice guy. Why is he all alone?"

The former four-time NBA champion has developed several personas since the Orlando Magic drafted him in 1992. On the court, he was a giant. Online, he became something different. Endless Thread breaks down the many sides of Shaq to answer the question, Is he OK?

Last week, Endless Thread introduced the spirited pianist behind an online piano academy that's all over Reddit for all the wrong reasons.

In Part 2, we investigate why some people think it's a front to recruit students to the Church of Scientology, and we talk to the man behind the piano himself.

As Endless Thread begins to divest itself from being an all-Reddit, all the time podcast, I started a home here on Lemmy for it.

You may have seen this ad: A frenetic, wild-haired concert pianist says he can make any newbie a virtuoso in months. Just take his online course for $3,000.

Too good to be true? Redditors thought so. Posts dating back years cried scam. Some went further and claimed his virtual piano academy is a cover to recruit Scientologists.

In Part 1 of "The Music Man," Endless Thread investigates.

I always have trouble figuring out how to share because of this weird icon. Can we have the default android share icon please?

I thought we were all one big federated family but I don't have a deep knowledge of how it all works. I'd like to follow accounts like lowqualityfacts and Georgetakei but I can't seem to find them by searching.

A box shows up on Amory Sivertson’s doorstep. Inside are the details of a murder.

Endless Thread co-host Amory Sivertson spent three years unraveling a cold-case murder. Her reporting eventually became the forthcoming podcast series Beyond All Repair.

Every story has its beginning. Amory's investigation starts here: Endless Thread's second-ever episode, about a man and his folder of documents.

Hello lemmings, I'm hoping you can help me find the perfect app for Lemmy browsing. In the before times, I used Relay for years on the old subs. Since I migrating I primarily used Sync, which is fine, but I cannot create an alt account login in it on lemmynsfw. I also have used Thunder, which I like but account switching is painful and it takes several minutes for communities to load when switching between accounts.

What's the best app for me? One with mod controls would also be helpful.

Edit: Whoops I left out the important stuff. Mobile, and Android, FOSS preferred
