Yeah, active and hot are kinda broken, and now devs are really busy trying to fix performance issue, so for some time it's either New or Top. I usually use New

That's how it works
Whole problem with that system is that people is up to restrict other instances from voting and that's when it stops working at all.
Do we have !croppingishard ?
I don't know either, but maintaining and expanding a list of domens of temporary emails would 100% be pain in ass. Also, there's legit mail services that allows aliases, hell even gmail users have infinte amount of aliases, so it feels kinda like wasting time on nothing.
Lol 2 weeks mean that most of us here cannot even vote.
Well, it's kinda experimental thing now, but with future in mind, i think this kind of rule actually makes more sense than just one vote/ip and screw the vpn users. Time boundaries could be discussed, but it makes sense.
Restrict voting to one vote per ip
Most IPs are dynamic, so turn off-on router will make the trick
There should also be a “partial defederation” option so if an instance is too lenient on account approvals for those unrestricted accounts created over VPN, other instance owners can defederate only the votes from the “problematic instance”, but still federate for all other purposes.
Actually, community is more likely wont accept votes from other instances at all
Well, it's only kinda repost, cause that one was more focused on when voting ends and who will count votes rather than who is allowed to vote.
This instance is not very different for lemmygrad in terms of how hateful they are and lemmygrad is defederated, so see no reason why this one shouldn't be defederated.
If it would be nice if it would be just one or two unintentional offending posts, but there's a lot of examples even in the post, where it's clear that they want to offend people, and i would like to keep this place away from intentionally offending content.
That sounds fair. Blacklisting services, or even worse particular emails, is work for nothing because you have infinite amount of aliases with Gmail, and it kinda kills even need in temp email for trolling, and you don't want whitelist cause it'll hurt users of not so popular services. Invites just sound not so good of a system for choosing worthy, it's just, i want democracy and not elite ruling this instance.
