There are many tools for Linux that do a lot of different stuff

I remember there were some that allowed running games straight without steam and maybe even creating shortcuts, but any of those is a headache to setup, I mean, to run a game without steam you need to do 15 manual steps, to create a shortcut 30 manual steps

Edit: maybe something has changed, I don't use steam a lot, and I used those tools some years ago

P.s. the coolest tool for me is the app for extracting tye session with all those steam guard and etc

If you know how to set it up, RPI can be reliable enough

Even, IMAP is TCP already, any coming mail should be cached by the router until delivered, and your router usually doesn't loose connection as often as the connected devices

Also it shares data with China

I didn't get it ๐Ÿ˜…

I see a big problem in every approach, probably because I don't understand something

When i'm using just bitwarden, all my passwords for every service are different, but the ui is opened for anyone to see

When I use authelia without oidc I add complexity of using the services, and probably two passwords to type manually, or a locked down system(which is cool)

And if I use authelia with oidc, it means I have only one password for all of the services (manual, or in bitwarden (which has its own manual password))

There's actually a point of doing that, it's called lock down, but how to explain users how to do this ๐Ÿ˜†

For bitwarden functionality there are bypass rules on just a nginx location, or network somebody is reaching through

In general the situation reminds me using selfhosted email as a contact email for that hosting ๐Ÿ˜ but I think in this case it's less risk because I control the data

Edit: and I'm not really looking for user management, I just want to know how to use authelia efficiently

๐Ÿค

Also, it's common practice to do rules, so ask 2fa on myserver.host, but don't ask anything on myserver.host/api

There's no registration in authelia I believe ๐Ÿฅฒ

And my problem is, like, should authelia password be manually typed, if not, where do the people store the password if they don't have bitwarden yet

Hi, recently I started using authelia, and can't understand how I need to use it, and how do I share it with others

Before I had bitwarden, kept all my passwords there, and used the passwords to login to every service. Also in every service I had 2FA and/or FIDO.

But now I have authelia, and I'm trying to understand where should be the main password, and what services do I bypass, and etc

And the most important, how do I explain people how to use it, do I create them authelia credentials and send, or how?

Thank you

Hey-ho!

My girlfriend has an iPhone, and she is using Spotify free thingy

I'm using Jellyfin and very very happy (except my favorite client is unmaintained)

I suggested her that I can download all the music she might ever need, she said cool. But also, in case if she needs to find something rare or listen just one time, etc, what options can I setup for her(with no ads, and other bs)

P.S. is there YouTube with no ads?

My searx instance is down for a while, and I was forced to use and try all the search engines, all of them are really bad

You can set this as your default search engine and every use it will redirect you to a random searx instance

It was a many months transition, and it's finally done

Fun thing, you can actually make a backup of all* your messages, groups, contacts, etc. So before leaving you can have all of your data in case you need that one contact or something

The final red flag was as that allegedly Russian authorities were messing with people's deleted messages. Not for the first time there are news that they could read, modify, delete, see location, and etc. Screw it, this is unsafe, I'm out.

Also, these days telegram is really at the state of a pile of garbage, bloated, buggy, and shady messenger.

Hello, i'm a simple man, i enjoy playing only a few games, and one of them is civlization

I want to get a fixable* switch, fix* it as hard as possible to be able to play Civilization VI (and maybe skyrim?)

My questions are:

  • Will i face any issues in particular about this game?

  • how long would the battery last

  • performance?

*(Fixable/fix, because all the switches are broken, they don't allow you to pirate out of the box๐Ÿ˜‚)

Hey-ho ๐Ÿ‘‹

What is the best approach for selfhosting an email server with static IP or blocked port 25?

I've done it many times in many different ways, now doing it again and want to hear what is the best approach these days

My port 25 isn't even probably blocked, I just prefer to use my vps to help it with this stuff

Any suggestions?

You have 5 seconds to answer ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

I'm currently using namecheap to buy cheap domains, I know they are not necessarily cheap in long term, but first year + coupons make them almost free

But now I've got some domains I don't want to just use one year, and it gives pretty much a lot of issues with pricing and privacy

So please, people, share services you use, and tell me whether they are private and/or cheap and/or have all those countless generic domains and not just .com .org .net

Hey-ho, privacy enthusiasts

I'm currently traveling around the world, and thinking about staying in Europe for 5ish years

But i'm a tinfoil guy and aware of the "many eyed beast"

So, what do you think? All lies and everything is actually dystopian, or everything should be fine?

I'm actually thinking about 4 countries like Spain, Portugal, Italy, and Greece (because don't like cold, and actually a little bit sick of other countries in the EU๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…)
