And probably require a connector similar to EPS12V near the PCIe slot, which would be messy. My "genius" solution would be putting a power connector on the other side of the board, directly behind the PCI-e slot. Probably creates other issues on top of the expected ones.

Nothing at all. China is going to get their GPUs. It's not going to be as easy, but they will get them. Chinese ships travel all over the world. Getting a box of GPUs on board is not that difficult.
I think this needs to stop. I hope we magically hit the hardware improvement wall, at least for phones, and have to optimize the software for like a decade. Bruteforcing shitty bloated code with hardware pains me.
LMAO. This is not a battle they have a hope to win. Maybe delay for couple of months.
Edit: if stolen iphones manage to end up in China to get stripped for parts, the GPUs going to leak just as easily.
