I only care about being able to have cheap electronics. I didn't avoid US products anytime in my life when the US was bombing people around the world. Not about to start caring about whatevers going on in China

Raimondo called out Nvidia Corp., which designed chips specifically for the Chinese market after the US imposed its initial round of curbs in October 2022.

“If you redesign a chip around a particular cut line that enables them to do AI, I’m going to control it the very next day,” Raimondo said.

Well you can do AI with MacBook chips, will that be regulated?

Be competitive instead of trying to cheat your way.

LMAO. This is not a battle they have a hope to win. Maybe delay for couple of months.

Edit: if stolen iphones manage to end up in China to get stripped for parts, the GPUs going to leak just as easily.

It appears if Nvidia keeps trying to get around curbs that maybe Nvidia is a national security issue. The issue is that chips can be reverse engineered as well. China is more than capable of building fabs and have zero qualms about stealing IP.

err okay, so do your f*king job, Raimondo. Write your laws to actually curb the issue. You are angry at your own incompetence? Bunch of idiots as elected representatives.

They will get it one way or another. I would not be surprised NVDA would come out next quarterly earnings and said Vietnam and Singapore are two fastest growing markets for their DC product line. Guess where those GPU could’ve gone to.
