The article appears to be paywalled. Can anyone post the contents or another website that doesn't paywall their journalism?

Set up 2FA/MFA for all of your accounts wherever supported. It's probably one of the few easier things you can do that is missing from your list, and you will vastly improve your security posture for it.

I just use Google authenticator but there are plenty of other apps out there if you'd prefer something else.

I'm somewhat skeptical. This image originally came from a Facebook post and the lead safe mama website kind of reads like your typical social media fear mongering. The numbers provided also don't match up with each other. I also found this other random website that provides a counterpoint https://thumbwind.com/2022/07/26/vintage-corelle-dishes-2/

I'm just not sure what to make of this. On both sides, little effort is made to verify the claims beyond screenshots of pr or customer service responses.

I suppose it doesn't matter very much in the end for me though. I no longer have these dishes and I'm either damaged or damaged.

It looks like they started paying the bill though (albeit late). So I wonder if that's actually related to the current issues?

I understand this platform is still young so the community hasn't really decided on standards but imo there are a lot of parallels that can be drawn between this and email. And with email, blocking an entire domain is usually strictly to deal with spam.

For a platform like this, we should probably extend that to illegal content but no further than that imo. Objectionable content should be handled via moderation, blocking, and just not subscribing to that content in the first place.

Just my $0.02

Lots of people are probably just waiting for better apps for lemmy + the drop dead date for Reddit 3rd party apps. I am, anyway. I'd expect a shift in activity in July.
