Thank you. Heliogoland is the only place in Germany where they breed. It was exciting to see them.

I haven't been back.

A pair of gannets I saw on Heligoland in April 2016.

Taken with a very simple, small electronic camera (not the phone).

They are big white birds with long beaks, their necks are light brown, the beaks light red with black edges. The wingtips are black. There is a third gannet sitting a little to the left and below them.
