okay so this guy is from like 3,500 years ago right? almost all we know about this guy is that he was a merchant and some guy didn't like the copper that was sold from him. We don't have any other evidence of the story, just one complaint tablet. The only thing that remains of the legacy of Ea-Nasir is one complaint letter, and we know basically nothing else about the guy.

You ever work customer service? You ever have a customer write a complaint about you? Ever get written up at work? Imagine 4,000 years from now, millennia after you've otherwise been long forgotten, some archeologists find an old Yelp review saying that you did a bad job at sweeping the floors or whatever, and now for the end of time people the world over know you as "That asshole from 4,000 years ago who can't sweep a floor very well" and that is what your entire life is eternally remembered by

so I think maybe we should cut my man Ea-Nasir a bit more slack here. Maybe he wasn't as shifty of a fellow as we think we was

One of the fun parts about being trans is now there's this name that the government and most strangers recognize me as that I and my close friends don't, but every time I think about the fact that I have a deadname now, I keep getting struck by this strange feeling that my deadname never felt like mine, even through years of me actively using it as my name. I remember trying to change it was I was about 17 but I never did because I only tried to think of masc names. For as long as I can remember, I could never look at my deadname and feel like it was mine. I didn't like it and it felt strange to even associate that name with me; I only ever did because the only alternative I could think of was just not having a name, which would have been a massive inconvenience. I never even really thought it was a bad name, I just hated it for me

Did anyone else ever feel like this or am I just crazy?

how tf do i call out of work. i never do this shit and i'm always terrified of doing it. i hate my job and would much rather do the thing with my friends tomorrow but i'm a terrible liar and have a deep seated need to be seen as doing good, even by my fucking b*ss. does anyone have any tips for how to do it?

fun facts: after double checking that first post, i actually realized i was trans about 15 hours after I posted that lmao

back in 1990 (91?) there was a vote in the USSR on whether to dissolve the Soviet Union, and 74% of people voted to keep it intact. out of curiosity, I'd really like to see what that same referendum would result in if done in the US today

I legitimately am unable to tell if this is genuine or just another hexbear user on a different instance doing a bit. This sounds exactly like what we would do as a joke
