I used Alien Blue until Reddit bought and destroyed it, I then moved to Sync and absolutely loved it and recently downloaded Sync for Lemmy. I was using Jerboa before and I liked it as well, Sync just feels a bit more like home for me.

I received the alert it was available and downloaded it right away, so happy to be back on Sync!

When I was in college, online dating was getting popular and tinder had recently come out. I met one guy through the app and we texted/called/emailed for a couple of weeks. I never met him in person and for all I know it could have been a 45 year old woman I was chatting with. However, he wrote a letter to my future spouse about me and how I was kind and selfless, it was a full page letter and I still read it from time to time when I'm feeling down about myself or trying to climb out of a depressive episode. It's one of the most genuine letters I've ever received and I still cherish it and cry a little when I read it, over a decade later.

I profusely thanked him at the time and tried to get back in touch and thank him years later after our conversations faded out but I never heard back.

I don't do the emails.

I moved to Sync when alien blue was bought by reddit, this is such exciting news!! Woo!

Called me a "trashy hood rat" for having a memorial tattoo for a friend/FWB that was murdered years before I met them.

Lol right? "This is just another day at Reddit, blackout isn't hurting us" then talks about the blackout nonstop since it started.

The excessive use of the word "cunt" in this episode was my absolute favorite, so far I'm loving season 16!

Agreed, I'm excited to be part of a growing community, I get excited to scroll before bed and see what new posts/communities have been created. Excited to be here with you all and have no plans of going back to Reddit.
