Only thing I can think of is if you find a community that you're interested in, but it doesn't have a lot of activity, check other instances for that same community.
Getting a lot of use out of this recently.

Lions Led by Donkeys is a military history podcast. I enjoy the host's sense of humor as much as the history.
That was the first episode of Doctor Who I iver watched, and nothing has really been able to achieve that high. Don't Blink is probably my second choice.
