I'll see if I can get it discounted. My interest is at an all time high
Excited for Raiders but still on the fence about picking this up. Not huge into competitive games generally, but always thought the series was interesting.
Oh man. What was weird about it?
Lol, what would a game called Chronds be about?
I just switched to Summit as I am a mod and this seems to be the only app that sends notifications for reports. Really great job here.
~~I do have one request though. Can we "favorite" communities and have them shown under a separate header in the home/community panel?~~
~~Or at the minimum, I love the moderation sort filter to see posts from all moderated communities, but could we have a moderated community section on the side bar with all our communities listed underneath? It would make navigating to these communities much easier.~~
Thanks for a wonderful app!
Edit: just realized there is a menu to the left where the bookmarks are stored. I had no idea there was an overflow menu here. Perhaps you could add a tripple-line hamburger menu icon on the to left to indicate this. Very happy to see my request for bookmarks/favorites was added.
When sharing links to the app and reaching the post submittion screen, it would be nice to have recent communities appear in the community field when you tap it before you type anything. As a mod and frequent poster, this would streamline the posting process for me.
It is clear that in 2025 this is the best Lemmy app out there, hands down.
If you are familiar with Hades' "God mode" option, or just their persistent level up currency between runs, I think this is the approach they are taking with Saros. They want Returnal and any potential direct Returnal sequels to maintain their difficulty and challenge, but they mentioned in their briefing they you get more and more powerful each run in Saros. They must have internal metrics on this and they have to know that many people have never finished the game. Hell, I didn't for a long time and recently got up to just before beating Biome 6 myself (still trying to make the final push). I expect Saros to be difficult but also give players progression to ultimately finished the game compared to Returnal.
It might be possible. Nintendo says most usb-c cameras will work. There is a USB camera test section in system settings. So it all depends on how the USB-A ports are configured

Yeah, some are speculating it's only $5-10 which honestly is even more of a reason it should be free.
Exactly, I don't really see who is going to use the camera while undocked. They should have put a camera in the console and then have it peak over the top of the dock to work while docked.
I won't be getting the camera at all tbh, but this is really cute.
Side note, kinda an oversight that they show the camera plugging into the top USB c port while docked. Hopefully the camera ships with a usbC to usbA adapter so it can be plugged into the dock.
For Switch: $300 from 2017 is $388 today.
For WiiU: $300 from 2012 is $415 today.
Don't get me wrong though, the economic outlook today is bleak, I don't disagree. And it seems a lot of people think it's too expensive and it is rightfully theirs to believe so. We all need to make the best financial decisions for ourselves. At the end of the day this is a luxury product.
Ultimately I think price will be the subject of the conversation up until and after release, and only one thing will change the conversation and that is if the games are good. If Mario Kart World and DK Bananza knock it out of the park, people will not be talking about price, they will be talking about how much you need to play these games.
Woot regularly sells it for $45. So yeah, discounts happen.
Also, Rule 7 buddy. Careful. Can't tell if you're being rude or making a sort of pun between Splooge and Splatoon.
