Downvoted because it’s wrong : We aren’t tariffing them because we aren’t trading with them.

So are some inhabited islands which are hit by tariffs. Maybe the dogshit stupid is the one not seeing the ties between trump and putin.

What’s the relation with NordVPN ? Are other VPN providers I.e mullivad better ?

[–] Brumefey 4 points 1 week ago (5 children)

Why ? Asking seriously because they got multiple certifications about their no-logs policy done by independent third parties.

Why is NordVPN not mentioned ? I’m using it and happy so far. Should I switch to something else ?

It has a proper rich text WYSIWYG editor. It does not demand you learn FUCKING MARKDOWN. JESUS H CHRIST I DO NOT WANT TO LEARN A FUCKING SYNTAX TO MAKE NOTES, WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?

I’m curious about this agressive stance. Why is markdown so triggering for you ? I get the pros of WYSIWYG but it has also some cons. On Lemmy for instance you use markdown without even noticing ?

I use Obsidian and I’m happy with it. The markdown syntax is really easy and it’s « almost » WYSIWYG because you see the markdown only at your cursor. It even has a plugin for excalidraw.

"I’ll admit to you, I bleed Republican. (...) Her farm had been awarded a grant worth $400,000 through the U.S. Department of Agriculture (...) Carlson was planning to use her USDA grant money to hire 10 temporary workers from Guatemala to help with this year’s harvest."

The sheer amount of stupidity is crazy. The same people that were crying that everything bad was the fault of Biden actually had they farm working thanks to Biden.

Will they realize at some point ?

After having finally migrated everything to azure and AWS, will we have to go back on premise ? 🫢

What did it teach you ? I.e you’re walking in our post apocalyptic world and there are two people a few hundred meters ahead of you. They look like unarmed civilians. What will you do according to DayZ experience ? I’m a bit afraid of the answer ;)

Same. Born in Belgium and I had to pay less than 1000 € for a full academic year at the University. The quality of education is good. I got a decent job, correctly paid. I did not had any debt when I started my career. What more did you get in the USA ? I would be depressed as hell to be in the shoes of that guy who claimed above that he paid only the interests of his student debt, after ten years of reimbursement.

I don’t like to say that I’m happy because it could always be improved, but I’m hosting websites with OVH for personal projects and clients since the 2000 era, so far it has been reliable and stable.

Do you have other serious competitors in mind ?

For my kid it’s too late, I allowed her to play without documenting myself enough. Luckily it offers good parental controls, and I take that as an opportunity to educate her about what’s going on.

Hello, I’ll go to Germany by car next weekend. I have bought the green badge (edit : Umweltplakette) that should be applied on the windshield. The badge has been purchased with the details of the vehicle (license plate, VIN,…).

Question : since I probably won’t go to Germany again in the coming years, can I paste the vignette onto some transparent plastic sheet and paste the plastic on the windshield ? So that I can remove it after my trip, and put it again in a few years for the next visit ? I don’t want to reduce the visibility because of another vignette. I already have the French CritAir, the Swiss, … my windshield starts to looks like those laptops full of stickers.

What’s the risk ? Since I have the vignette legally paid ?

I don't think I'll beat that amount of dedication in a game ever again. I was a young teenager when I started playing this game which had eaten all my social life... Guess it is part of me.

Last week I felt some nostalgia and reinstalled the game after ~18 years without touching it. It's crazy that my character is still there on some server (even if no subscription was paid for all those years), more or less in the state I left it the last time I logged-out years ago. The guild has been erased, but the friend list is still there as a reminder of those past friendships, none of them logged-in of course...

Fun fact, my parents refused to pay for the game at that time, so I started playing on the account of a friend, from which I later bought the game second-hand. The login still contains his name, and I think that's the oldest login/password I have a trace for.
