« You need to take off RIGHT NOW! » « I can’t . Upgrade in progress ! »

I would love to live in china, a place you never visited, or a place you know nothing but whatever the propaganda drip feeds you that day.

Go ? Make your dream a reality ? The propaganda… You’re the one praising an authoritarian regime, you are the propaganda.

Ahh, yes, unlike United states of America

Did not say USA are good. Reminder of your comment :

The only real adults in the room left are China, Brazil and India.

Which is ridiculous. No country is perfect but only a fool can call China, Brazil and India the real adults.

Why the hate ? I pay less than 100 € per year for the subscription which is like 3 coffees per months and I have the basic plan with LR Classic, Photoshop, 20GB of online storage which is good to let me edit the shootings on my phone during the daily commute to work. Frequent updates and new features. It’s really worth the value. Even if their previous business model with perpetual licenses was better.

Lightroom mobile and web are not at the level of Lightroom Classic. It’s highly subjective but I enjoy the web version for quickly editing a few pictures, but for the management of my library which contains more than 20k pictures, no app is as good as Lightroom Classic. I tried a few ones and always went back…

What a joke. Yeah, go live in China where posting the same message about the government would get you jailed or worse.

And US does not allow Camembert, raw meat, etc. From Europe.

From Europe it’s crazy seeing the USA getting so close to authoritarian regimes, and so far from democratic ones.

it keeps population dumb

You mean dumb like all those Trump Musk supporters ? Or dumb because educational programs have been defunded, and fed by social media and classic media controlled by the rich men having power ?

That’s the kind of news I was used to read about Russia.

In this case he got caught because smart judge without IA. In a few years the new generation of judges will also rely on AI, so basically AI will rule the cases and own the judicial system.

Hello, I’ll go to Germany by car next weekend. I have bought the green badge (edit : Umweltplakette) that should be applied on the windshield. The badge has been purchased with the details of the vehicle (license plate, VIN,…).

Question : since I probably won’t go to Germany again in the coming years, can I paste the vignette onto some transparent plastic sheet and paste the plastic on the windshield ? So that I can remove it after my trip, and put it again in a few years for the next visit ? I don’t want to reduce the visibility because of another vignette. I already have the French CritAir, the Swiss, … my windshield starts to looks like those laptops full of stickers.

What’s the risk ? Since I have the vignette legally paid ?

I don't think I'll beat that amount of dedication in a game ever again. I was a young teenager when I started playing this game which had eaten all my social life... Guess it is part of me.

Last week I felt some nostalgia and reinstalled the game after ~18 years without touching it. It's crazy that my character is still there on some server (even if no subscription was paid for all those years), more or less in the state I left it the last time I logged-out years ago. The guild has been erased, but the friend list is still there as a reminder of those past friendships, none of them logged-in of course...

Fun fact, my parents refused to pay for the game at that time, so I started playing on the account of a friend, from which I later bought the game second-hand. The login still contains his name, and I think that's the oldest login/password I have a trace for.
