The press is once again reaping what they sow by giving cover to the party actively attacking them, but if Democrats can be remotely blamed (even if ultimately untrue)for something, it won't be labeled as "Congress"
They're trying to avoid paying taxes by recreating the absurd Hollywood style accounting, but things don't quite work like that.
Or we understand that a lot of the criteria is just a wishlist, and as long as you meet a significant chunk of it, the rest can be learned in the job.
Why are you telling them why you're taking off? Most employers have a set amount of vacation/sick time as part of their compensation package. You own that time. They don't need to know why you're using it.

My toddler had a respiratory issue several days before Christmas. Hospitalized for a few days. Released a few days before Christmas. We got home. Pipes froze that very day, for several days. So no water in the house. We were supposed to travel, but due to the hospital and weather were stuck home, so we had to scramble to get a few Xmas things together for the kids. Luckily midway through Xmas, the pipes finally thawed - Christmas miracle, we could shower.
I didn't think a wealthy elite who primarily lived in NY buying influence from the party that tends to control NY really counts when determining actual political beleifs
