Ah, the "Grand Theft Auto" rule. Lots of videos on YouTube of people getting arrested at home, confused that pulling into their driveway didn't reset all the stars they built up during the police chase.

That site is good for a laugh - a complete alternate universe devoid of science, evidence, or conscious thought.

Probably depends on the store. The one near me scans them some days but not others. I've never understood what the policy is.

If you told me that the last time Trump read something it was the text on a children's toy in the 1980s, I wouldn't have trouble believing it.

Or just waiting for it to come out on PC. I can't justify spending the money on consoles anymore. Squenix probably has a deal with Sony where everything has to be a timed exclusive, but on my end I'm not going to buy a $500 console to play a single game that will eventually come out on PC anyway.

Yeah, I typically like Nate, but today's column seemed sloppy. I don't see how Walz is the "safe" choice - he's further left than Shapiro. I also didn't get what he was saying about Minnesota values not translating. I think Walz was a bold pick and I'm happy with the choice.

The thing is that I do want to have my subscriptions and favorite channels, and as long as UBO blocks ads, I haven't fully made the switch to a different front-end.

But it still bothers me that it serves me far-right, religious, and conspiracy theory content given that I've never once engaged with any of those topics.

I didn't read the argument as saying one platform's behavior excuses the other. I saw it as saying that both are bad.

It certainly doesn't come across as a defense of either platform to say they're both infested by Nazis.

I have no idea why you're being downvoted since you're 100% correct. I watch one video about gaming and YouTube's recommendations are all alt-right anti-feminist stuff with Ben Shapiro and Jordan Peterson.

Google surely knows enough about me to know I lean far-left but the algorithm is determined to feed me that slop.

I have no idea from a technical perspective if Odysee's algorithm is independent from or worse than YouTube's, but the criticism of YouTube is completely valid.

Trump was making modest gains with black voters, who have since surged in support for Harris. His message was as simple as "She's not really one of you" because he's upset he's losing support.

Trump is butthurt anytime someone doesn't like him - any individual, any constituency. It's just the same narcissism he always shows.

Even for white people - haven't you ever heard someone say something like, "I'm German and Irish on my mother's side"?

The idea of having two different heritages is completely common and obvious. It's not that Trump or other Republicans are having trouble wrapping their heads around the concept. It's a racist attack, plain and simple.

Blizzard swore off local multiplayer after what happened with StarCraft esports. The Korean leagues ran huge tournaments and made a ton of money off Blizzard's IP and essentially told them to pound sand. Now everything has to go through their servers so they control the ecosystem.

Same with how Blizzard now owns every custom game you make. They learned their lesson with DOTA/LOL and feel like all that money should be theirs.

All of which seems to indicate that this is a real problem. People can play Brood War forever, but what happens when the SC2 servers go down?
