I still love my 3000 series. Nice speed, low heat, good price. I'll probably upgrade my gpu again before replacing it. What a good little workhorse.

Sounds about right. Going for gasps, getting laughs.

His nicknames are so stupid.. Cryin' Chuck Schumer doesn't sound like a derogatory name for a politician. It sounds like someone who plays some awesome bass guitar.

No. It's a lump of cells. Who cares.

Oh, definitely. I can't think of a more complicated mass produced filling mechanism. But I love them. Especially the Snorkel. Maybe because I'm an engineer. It reminds me of mechanical watches with lots of complications. But when they are in fully working order, they are so simple and convenient to use! Just unscrew, fill, and close it back up. Nice clean nib, no fuss.

My palladium snorkel I bought refurbished, and it was done with a latex sac. Well, the sac dissolved.. my fault wrong ink. And I have not wanted to take the time to fix it, since it is a little time consuming. My two tone snorkel and touchdowns all have silicone sacs. The palladium is my favorite, though.

A lever filler! That's pretty cool. I only have one lever Sheaffer, and it's not a triumph. But I do have a few Triumph Touchdowns and Snorkels, and they are fantastic nibs.

I love the A2. And the A1. Mine are both EF, I write pretty small, so the finer the better. And they are both really fine and surprisingly smooth for such a tiny, cheap steel nib. I'm also impressed at how well they seal. I haven't used them in a few months, seeing your post makes me want to get them out and clean them.

My Virtual Boy Pocket. Black OEM front shell, red OEM back shell. Glass lens from Bluish Squirrel. It's a red led backlight mod, biverted. I used a 4 position switch and some resistors for 3 levels of brightness and off. Next to it is a BennVenn El Cheapo that my wife was kind enough to make a label for to match the scheme.

The action of the buttons is fantastic on this. However, the red backlight will sear your retinas out if you play too long. A couple of games of Tetris, and the whole world looks green for a while. I think it just adds to the Virtual Boy experience.

Kicking off my appreciation of this new community with my Sheaffer's collection. I absolutely love the Snorkel. It's a little bit of a pain to work on, but so cool and easy to use.

My faves here are the blue Statesman and the red vein Balance. Not pictured are any of my modern Sheaffer's, or later cartridge based student pens.

Maybe I'll post my Wearevers soon. Such cheap pens, but they had lovely celluloid.
