We're talking about voluntary manslaughter. "Drap" or whatever. That's 6-10 in Sweden.

We have the data that it LIKELY won't, but that just means we need to do better with our prisoners and rehab programs. It's not an excuse to let someone who killed someone right back onto the streets.

Are other countries with better rehab programs letting manslaughter convicts out in less than four years?

Apparently in Sweden you get 6-10 for manslaughter.

First of all, I fucking love milk, you do not fucking know me.

Second of all, you really want to get in a battle of links?? https://www.health.harvard.edu/blog/dairy-health-food-or-health-risk-2019012515849

and if they don't buy the dairy farmers get their subsidy anyway. like yeah i can make myself poorer buying unsubsidized milk, but kinda sucks you're putting the problem on me.

it's just a century long marketing scam that is now so big it would cause an economic recession to dismantle it over night. It will take a few decades for the subsidies to be lowered, and probably will never go to zero.

also, milk is just bad for most people. some people need the high fat and protein content, but most of us, including children, would be much better off not drinking milk at all.

Lauren Pazienza spent the night of March 10 gallery-hopping with her fiancé in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood in celebration of 100 days until their wedding

honestly, this is just piece of shit person, living off someone else's money, running around contributing nothing to society. fuck her

we just have an alcohol epidemic. people feel the need to make an excuse to binge drink as much as possible.

You're assuming four years in prison won't allow her to rehabilitate. It very well might.

Rehabilitation and revenge are two out of the four aims of sentencing. There's also deterrence and prevention: sending a message to everyone else that this is not okay, and simply keeping the convict away from the public so they can't hurt anyone else.

I mean that's a general argument against technology. Yes, more technology means more ruthlessly efficient abuse, but ultimately you think technology is better in the long run or not. Either way it is inevitable. Maybe in the EU they will ban those abuses, in China they won't, and US will find some weird compromise between the two.

Oh sure there's definitely bias in AI, same as selfdriving cars. They make mistakes, but make far fewer than humans.
