Using this version of iPlayer got it working for me but I'm glad you found another way. Hopefully there are no further issues with it.

Has anyone else had this issue and is there a fix? Thanks.

This is literally my favourite chapter of any audiobook. If you love the outdoors, then I challenge you to find a more life affirming, heart warming call to spend a night under the stars.

I love listening to audiobooks about nature, the environment, climate, hiking etc. One of my favourites is 'Roger Deakin: A BBC Nature Collection', specifically 'Cigarette on the Waveney', 'The House' and 'The Garden', as they are narrated by Roger himself and the recordings capture the environment Roger is in not just his voice.

Are there other audiobooks recorded in this way that are worth listening to?

Thanks for your help.

There are potential pitfalls with procedural generation, and Starfield definitely did it poorly, but as a fan of TES since Daggerfall I'm happy to get behind this. I'm sure it's possible to make proc-gen work well and I'm hopeful they'll manage it. Only time will tell I guess.

It just hit 100% 🥳

I can't say it's something I noticed, but I'm sure there will be options to adjust that. It also seems like the kind of game that will attract modders, just like all TES games.

This new project from some of the folks who worked on the first 3 Elder Scrolls games looks great. It looks certain to be backed as well as it's already at 99% on Kickstarter with a couple more weeks to go.

Streaming on either Xbox Cloud Gaming (beta) or GeForce Now.

I mean that my latest save from my Xbox is never available via the cloud on other services.

Is there a place on the Xbox or elsewhere where I can see the sync status of my saves, or better yet, is there a option for me to choose to sync certain saves?

I ask as my latest save game is never synced when I come to use Xbox Cloud Gaming, making it utterly fuckin' useless. I even tried leaving my Xbox on for 20 minutes after saving, in the hope that if left doing nothing it would sync my saves, but nope. If I only wanted to play random old saves it would be fine, but that's hardly the point of this service I imagine.

Is this service still in beta because is doesn't work well?

For reference my Xbox and the device I'm attempting to stream on are both connected to via Wi-Fi to my 515Mb down 75Mb up broadband connection.

I too stream IPTV, which is what the VPNs primary use is. I'm glad Mullvad has worked well for, it's the one in thinking of sticking with. Fortunately, I'm able to try it for a month for the same price I'd normally pay, unlike their competitors. The only thing that's holding Mullvad back are their comparatively poor apps.

My Surfshark sub is almost up and I'm looking for my best option.

I'm so glad this little community has popped up, as looking for reviews on Reddit and elsewhere online is next to impossible, since every review is simply an ad in disguise.

I need a VPN primarily for streaming, so need it to be fast, and obviously security and privacy are key concerns too.

I've narrowed down my choices to Mullvad, Proton or sticking with Surfshark. Surfshark has been ok, but I assumed there must be better out there.

What are everyone's thoughts on the best performing service at the moment?

Thanks.

It does. I found a workaround. but it required changing settings. Librewolf is a little too secure for some websites to work correctly it seems.

No Starfield for launch though.

I'm testing LibreWolf with a view to moving to it from Chrome, but I've noticed some websites don't work, for example: https://apps.sentinel-hub.com/eo-browser/

Does anyone know why this may be?

Thanks.

Thanks for the feedback. My thinking was if by going with Palit or Zotac I can get stretch my budget to include a 4080 (if going AM5) or 4090 if going (Z790 or B660 + 13600K) etc, then it would be worth it, providing these basic cards would prove reliable. I just don't know their reputation as I'm unfamiliar with the brands, since this will be my first gaming PC.

I see the Palit Jetstream RTX 4080 is the cheapest 4080, and I'm wondering if anyone has experience of it? Have they cut corners to make it this cheap, and is it still a solid card? Thanks.

The new games this week are:

Techtonica (New release on Steam, July 18) Viewfinder (New release on Steam, July 18) Xenonauts 2 (New release on Steam, July 18) Embr (Steam)

No further update about the upcoming MS Studio's titles was provided.

When I started using Lemmy I joined Lemmy.world and downloaded several Lemmy apps, to find one I liked. After a short while, the apps seemingly became incompatible with Lemmy.world and refuse to display the communities I'd joined, or show any content on the main page of the app if I selected Subscribed rather than Local or All. I also couldn't see posts I knew to be there in some communities. Due to these issues I tried Lemmy.ml and fortunately it doesn't suffer from these problems when using the apps. What's going on? Is Lemmy.world broken?

Sorry if this is a stupid question.

Members can look forward to the following this week:

Jagged Alliance 3 (New release on Steam, July 14) Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen (Steam)

Has the mod here considered merging with [email protected]? It seems pointless to have 2 separate small communities focused on the same topic.
