They didn't tell us the age of the assailant last time or the victim. I'm guessing they tend to choose words for the headline that might have the most impact.

"White Swiss man wielding a machete attacks other Swiss people and injures possibly white Swiss baby" Just doesn't seem to really fit in a headline.

Killing the first one probably won't any more than killing a single mouse doesn't stop an infestation, but once the mice realize that you got a couple of cats they will find the exit.

That's why you need to put traps by the exit too, the mice know too much and might potentially regroup to return with better tactics. You've got to get them all in one swift purge.

Sometimes we have to make sacrifices to uphold our principles.

Not getting abused by Sony and it's ilk Is just one of the many principles that we can uphold at minimal risk and for minimal cost.

I couldn't let Donnie stay in the wild because sliders aren't supposed to be here, but he looks really comfortable underneath his jungle of raspberries, basil, and potatoes while he basks on a bed of moss.

My hourly rate for tutoring is actually about 50% higher than my hourly rate for on call support which is about 100% higher than my hourly rate for work.

I'm trying to afford groceries here, It's not 90 days payable It's pay-per-play. I'm tired of trying to finance an inhaler while the boss's favorite child can't decide on a font color and thinks that 5 minute phone calls at 7:30 on a friday are free.

The luddites were a labor movement. They fought for the rights of skilled workers to make a living.

Somehow you have fallen for the myth that machines make art.

It's not ironic it's intentional.

After 9/11, this country took a hard turn into fascism and boot licking. I was complaining about the new McCarthyism, the demented expansion of the police state, and the march to the right when my aunt interrupted me to say "not everyone thinks McCarthy was the bad guy there." She said it was such smug indignation I was genuinely shocked there were people that were fans of McCarthy.

When I said that that kind of un-American behavior leads to stuff like Kent State, she said, "If you can't be loyal to the troops you get what you deserve." That's when I realized that we as a nation were absolutely fucked.

They seem to spin some kind of silk everywhere they go. They seem to be no longer than about 4 mm. I noticed them crawling up things and then dropping down on a line of silk. I've started catching them by putting little sticks up in the air attached everywhere that I find them. They tend to gather at the top of the stick for easy rapture by vacuum.

Someone should mass print the most common tattoo shapes in temporary tattoos and hand them out at protests or sell them for cheap.

Seems like a great way of just poisoning a lot of data sets

The Israeli extermination force started firing indiscriminately at a crowd of thousands of unarmed starving people killing hundreds and wounding hundreds more.

There will be no consequences. Israel is continuing to exterminate Palestinians with approval and supplies from America.

I feel like they probably have something to do with light level detection or infrared signal receiving but I genuinely have no idea. They could just as likely be part of the sound system for all I know.

I really hope the investigation doesn't die with him. If he really was some kind of predator or creep, his reputation shouldn't be allowed to go into the grave intact.

And yet 10 years ago is when Romney warned us. I remember having a conversation with my mother in which I sounded off incredulously about it, "I don't buy this red scare 2.0 thing" to which my mother said, "there's probably something to it if someone says you shouldn't trust their friends."

It's poorly optimized code, and the comments from the top brass has been "lol your PC sux" when they can't even get it running right on their own hardware.

It's not the variations of PC that's the issue, it's a design and quality control issue. Direct X and Vulkan are the bread and butter of PC gaming. Microsoft developed direct X to establish a common graphics framework for Windows and Microsoft game studio still fucked up working with it.

I added some more unifi APs, a Raspberry Pi4 for a low power unifi controller, and I replaced the MOCA bridges with multiple Cat6 runs letting me power most of the wifi from the generator in the basement across the house.

I should probably do a full write up of what it all is and why, and I plan to get optimum and Verizon working together so I can leverage both internet connections in the whole house.
