Just checked the weather and it looks like it's gonna be a wet one. Any recommendations for things to do in the area (we don't mind driving a bit). Preferably something the kids (toddler and five) would enjoy.

Here's hoping the sun comes out ......

If you don't mind driving:

  • Snowdon
  • Betws-y-Coed
  • The slate caverns at Blaenau Ffestiniog
  • Any number of castles
  • Blue Planet aquarium on the Wirral

I went to north Wales for a holiday back in 1990-something and it only rained once.

Nice to see it's still going.

I think there was some aquarium type thing in Rhyl. Use to be a Sealife Centre, but they've rebranded now. Probably rubbish, but kids aren't that picky.

I also fell down the stairs at Caernarfon Castle. You could try that. Anything's better that being stuck in bloody Prestatyn.

Not huge amounts to do that isn't sights and stuff ruined by weather.

Nova Play Area for the kids maybe, if it's open.

Lido Beach, if the weather permits also.
