CPU Cooling problems: Just like 95C is normal for Ryzen, 100C is normal for Intel CPUs in many workloads. If you're worried about CPU temperatures, please look at reviews for the laptop or CPU cooler you're using.

In reality, with the current drivers the 780m will be faster. But not by much, and Meteor Lake will have XeSS up its sleeve too. XeSS at 1080p and below (which is where these iGPUs operate) is way, way better than FSR. Using a more aggressive XeSS preset than you can with the 780m will give you more performance for the same or better visual quality.
MLD yesterday said (from many OEM comments) that no one wants to sell MTL as it has no selling point since performance is the same and intel shifted last minute to sell "AI"
Well, I'd bet Meteor Lake brings efficency.
There has to be at least a few laptop users that care about battery life. (and when I say a few laptop users, I mean all Laptop users)
Yup, better battery life and way better graphics. What's not to like?
