I mounted an iPad mini on the wall with a custom wall mount I bought off etsy that has a space for a small charger to keep it powered on. I'm sure you can do the same with any tablet. I mounted it on the wall above a place where there's an electric outlet so I was able to fish down through the wall and tie the box into to the electrical.

I use Home Assistant for my home automation system. I side loaded the Google Play Store and have it running with fully kiosk. Display turns on based on motion detection. Turns off after no motion for 1 minute. I use several different dashboards, just depending on what I'd like to control. Works great!
That’s cool!! I was just looking at the fire tablet. I’m so new to this. I’ll look into home assist too.
