Hello every reader :)

Story short:

I was planning to buy more Aqara Smart Wall Switch E1 versions if the china one from Ali is working with my HA.

It works but the turning on/off sound made by the switch, the “clicking” is too LOUD for me… I can hear from everywhere in my flat and it bothers me when automatization kicks off.

Every smart switch clicking feedback is that loud? The H1 version is quiter?

Could you recommend switches which are quite silent or not too loud?

My budget is up to is 30€/switch. But if there are more cost effective switches I would like that.

I would prefer Zigbee ones but my home is not that big so wifi won’t be congested ever probably…

I need the clicking feedback but not an 65-69 dbA sound… (Yes I measured)

Iirc the tp link kasa witches don’t tick. Fwiw smart dimmer switches generally don’t click either.

the regular switches do. their 3 way switch and dimmers don't, though.

Under tplink you mean Tp-Link s220 smart, or the tp link - kasa is same electornics, different brand name?

dimmers generally dont click if you can switch to dimmers.

Sonoff switchman is pretty silent

That would be probably the cheapest. I will check one for test :O

There’s also the sonoff tx ultimate, which technically is a touch switch but it’s got haptic feedback (like iphone’s touchid button) and speaker.

Which you can still disable

“Chinese version from Ali” prolly means somebody slipped the plans to their cousin at another factory.

They did the best they could and used the parts they could buy the cheapest.

I recognize this is out of your budget ($50/ea) but the Lutron Casetas don’t click whatsoever.

Relays always click. Some much louder than others. If these are for lights, get dimmers. They never click because they don't use mechanical solenoid relays.

Kasa are pretty quiet. Actually listen for the light click when turning off adjacent hallway lights
