This was one of my absolute favorite resources on Reddit and I miss it dearly now that I've quit cold turkey for Lemmy. Let's get the ball rolling and have some discussions!

To start, I'll link to one of my favorite sites for tips on running the game: the Alexandrian. This site has fantastic discussions on things like node-based adventure design, tips on fleshing out mysteries, reviews, and more. Hope it is useful!

It's a problem solving and Q&A community. Can't solve problems or answer anybody's questions until they post some.

Like many people, I'm new to Lemmy. Something I've noticed is that communities seem much more fractured. (I don't really understand the whole federalized thing, but it seems like de-centealization is the sorta the point/goal for some reason...?)

There's another DM Academy on Lemmy. Sooo, are we going to have two? Or is one group going to close down and migrate to the other?

I think the general trend has been to see which community becomes more popular and then that one ends up being the main community. So I suppose we should try to be active in both communities and see which one sticks!

BigFig, the user who runs the DnD community, started the other one, so my guess is that one will probably take off faster. I'd be happy if this community does, but I'll be happy either way. I just want a DnD advice community to succeed on Lemmy.
