Two things here that I believe make Liverpool the better of the two. 1, the Premiere League and it’s historical equivalents is indisputably far harder than Serie A and it’s historical equivalents. 2, a huge amount of corruption in the Italian game was responsible for some (some) of Milan’s success.

Milan
It's really a tough question to answer.
Milan
Best teams in Europe based on history using a very scientific method called my opinion:
1- Real Madrid 2- Bayern Munich 3- Man Utd 4- Milan 5- Liverpool 6- Barca 7- ajax 8- juve 9- Inter 10- Porto
Bring arsenal, psg andman city to the discussion when they win a UCL and have 15/20 years of continuous presence in UCLs.
It's Liverpool. It's close, but it's Liverpool.
AC
In terms of domestic success, Milan is much further behind Juventus, who have almost twice as many league titles, than Liverpool is behind Man Utd (the difference is just one league title). In terms of continental success, they both have 9 trophies (not counting supercups), with Milan having 1 more UCL/EC. So I’d say that Liverpool is far more dominant domestically and they are on par in European competitons, with LFC being much better overall in the last 10-15 years. Milan did have more all time greats, but they can’t attract players of that level anymore.
I’d say they are clubs of equal status historically, but certainly Liverpool has a bigger status in recent times and is slightly more successful overall (due to Milan lagging far behind Juve in Serie A).
And I’d like to add that it’s quite likely that European record in the late 80s would look very different if Liverpool weren’t banned from competing.
Milan and by far.
It doesn't have to be a bigger one
What the fuck even is this sub? I swear this is such a r/soccercirclejerk gold mine.
