Poor mental and physical health condition is the reason why I did not apply for college placements, and I've been jobless since then. Looking at the job page, I get discouraged so easily, as they are paying laughably low wages while also looking for experience and skill, and I'm having second thoughts about completing my degree.

I have graduated at the end of last September, and it has been more than a year. I don't have any job experience, including internship. What should I start with? I've been learning SvelteKit for quite some time, I'm taking a break from my portfolio webpage project right now, and learning to create a TUI editor in C. Any advice would be appreciated.

Honestly, take one of those shitty job ls to get some experience. A job posting is an ideal employee and a lot of the time they will baulk on experience.

Remember that these shitty jobs are only temporary until you can land a better one.

If you can hold a clearance and are a US citizen, maybe look for government jobs.

Consider internships, too.

Don't think about salary at this point, experience is really what you need to focus on. Get a couple years under your belt and then you can search for something that pays better.

Lastly, be kind to yourself. Applying for jobs is hard. It takes a lot of effort then feels very personal when you get rejected or ghosted. That's normal. Do your best to keep your head high and do something small every day. Best of luck, friend.

Your first job is almost always going to be shitty. You take it for two years and then get a 50% bump.

Not completing your degree is stupid. You'll be paid more over your lifetime by a lot for that dumb piece of paper.
