When I receive a Lemmy email notification on my phone, and I click on the link inside, it goes to the webpage in my browser, instead of opening in the CONNECT app. How do I reassign that? I'm using Google Pixel 7 with Android 13

You would need something like Lemmy Redirect to set the default links

Got me all excited until this:

Lemmy Redirect currently supports the following clients:

Jerboa Liftoff Summit

The description may need an update, the app lists these when I open it:

Boost, Eternity, Jerboa, Liftoff, Summit, Sync

Thanks for the update but still not that helpful for Connect users 🤷

Ah gotcha, yea not sure why. Maybe the app needs to implement something for it to work

Yeah, probably 🤷

Looks like connect doesn't have that option. If you long press on the application icon and go to properties. You can see this under "Set as default". I checked it for connect and didn't see any URLs but I do see them in boost for lemmy.

Could you explain that a bit further please? I'm using Boost and links in General aren't working for me.

If I open a lemmy instance in Chrome or Firefox, I didn't find a way yet to open it in Boost. Neither the "Open with App" nor the Share button seem to work.

Even if I click on a link in Boost, it just opens in my default browser which is very inconvenient.

Go to Boost app in your setting app.

And then I have to add all URLs from all global Lemmy instances manually? Isn't there an intelligent solution like there was years back with tapatalk that all kinds of sites could integrate with the same app?

I'd assume Boost dev would have already added all the most common ones. If not you'll have to use the tool someone else mentioned.
