63 million a year for a Brooks/Vanvleet backcourt is something else lmao

Maybe brooks will be more humble? Unlikely. Houston will be a hot mess this year.

They will be must watch TV for the wrong reasons!!

Wouldn't the backcourt be Vanvleet and Green?

I’m guessing fvv/jalen green/brooks/Jabari/sengun. Mills, Christopher, whitmore, jeff green and landale off the bench? Defense is a question mark but they could push for the playin if green and Jabari take a step forward under Udoka.

They also still have KPJ and Amen Thompson as well. It's going to be interesting seeing how that guard rotation shakes out.

Their best at shooting themselves in the foot.

Nobody knows that, including their management.

Hey Rockets, I’m still available

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago

rockets, sign this frog

[–] [email protected] 9 points 1 year ago

Was there competition for him? This seems like a gigantic overpay especially after Memphis saying he wouldn't return under any circumstances.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 year ago

Massive overpay.

Surely this will bring some maturity to the young squad

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

"Maturity" to not speak to the media after they lose while talking a lot of shit before the game

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 year ago

Woof. No idea what Houston is doing. They’ve been so bad for three years. I guess they got better but at a gross cost.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago

Wait why??? This feels stupid lol

Not a fan of this signing at all as a Rockets fan. FVF I don't mind because he can help lead the young guys for the next two years and then Amen takes over. Brooks I just don't get.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

It's FVV, btw.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

Holy crap. Wasn't expecting this! Is the market really still that hot?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Brooks isn't as bad as his reputation would lead you believe, but I do not love that contract at all...

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Yeah people were joking? he should be out of the league. 80 mill though...

[–] zpoex 1 points 1 year ago

There's no wayyy

The Rockets seem like they'll be fun to watch and maybe this pushes them closer to being a play-in team?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Wow, I know he's a good defender and all but that's a lot of money + years committed.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Probably did this to get more eyes on the team since his antics are constantly talked about

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Maybe they can front load it so that in 2 years it's a reasonable contract? Idk

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Happy Canada Day to this fool.
