Twink is the only constant

Link is destined to be with Ganon and no one can change my head canon

[–] [email protected] 25 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Every man must slay his own demons. What if Ganon is just a stand in for Link's latent homosexuality and the whole story is him finally accepting himself for who he is rather than fight it.

Link's Awakening.

Makes more sense this way

Ironically one of the games without Ganon. Although iirc the nightmare does take the form of Ganon at one point? So maybe

Counterpoint: "A Tale of Two Rulers" by FigmentForms, a webcomic in which Zelda marries Ganon.

What is the tri-force if not a metaphor for their thruple?

A physical representation of the three goddesses' magical power of creation in Hyrule.

The only thing Ganon deserves is a sword through the head, stop shipping dictators, if you really must that's what Furry Hitler is for.

In an alternative universe where Nintendo wants to be seen as progressive, they make Link blatantly gay, have him give up Zelda at the steps, and he powerbottom rules Hyrule with Ganondorf with absolute power, compassion, and a heart of gold; ushering in a new feudalist empire that reaches for the stars.

That would be fucking awesome. Alas.

What is t4t in this context?

[–] [email protected] 35 points 1 year ago (2 children)

trans 4 trans, two trans people dating

A "beard" is a partner one has to appear straight to one's peers.

Often done to "keep appearances up" as it were.

Basically in this context they look like a het couple to those looking in but they're both queer and only keeping up appearances for one reason or another.

Are there fan theories that Zelda and Link are trans? I need to catch up on my fan theories! Haha.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 year ago

Yea I think it spawned from Zelda being way taller than Link 💀 and uh Link sure doesn't seem afraid to express a bit of femininity. Furthermore they are just pretty weird and queer overall. Maybe not enough to be trans, but I'll read into it, I'm not shy.

They are like siblings? Not every relationship need to be sexual.

[–] [email protected] 12 points 1 year ago (1 children)

They're certainly not siblings.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

That's why he put the like in there.

I've always got this vibe from them tbh, not to mention how similar they look in botw/totk

[–] sweeny 7 points 1 year ago (2 children)

In totk it's made pretty clear they be fuckin once you find Zelda's place

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago (2 children)

tbh i'm not that far in totk yet. not sure why, it just hasn't clicked for me.

Sometimes games just don't resonate with people

And sometimes it's due to your taste in video games changing and other times it's just for seemingly no reason at all

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

It's the building thing for me, the whole mechanic just seems super tedious, even with Autobuild

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Personally I didn't play either Zelda game as they just didn't seem like something I'd enjoy

Different strokes for different folks and all that

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

yeah, doesn't help that i played botw alongside a friend and she's now busy being a doctor and shit. no hate though, i'm super proud of her :3

It's gonna look a lot better when switch 2 comes out anyways, I played through a lot of it but decided to wait to finish it till a console comes out that can actually play it

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

oh yeah, i'm emulating it. my switch is basically just for smash and mario kart these days,

The hilarity being that in Breath of the Wild Link earns and furnishes that house, and when you go back there Zelda has clearly now moved in and replaced all the furnishing you did with her own stuff. Link is totall a man who's willing to put up with that stuff because he's getting laid regularly.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

Link is the alpha femboy. He pulls them all. Men, women, fish people, Gerudo, whatever the hell the lava people are, fucking eldritch abomination swinepeople...who doesn't wanna bang and be banged by him?
