No, the fanbase is regressing, but they're also not getting products that suit their tastes. There's a lot of stuff to play that's different, and the people that removed go back to the dwindingly bad quality AAA Live Service slop. They're not for us. When the AAA bubble bursts, they'll fuck off to another form of media.

I've had lots of good pizza in the US, almost exclusively from independent places that serve NY Slice/Detroit/Neapolitan, and only one from a chain that's even close to decent: Blaze Pizza, which goes for a neapolitan-style in a fast casual setting. That's about it.

Gnome 3 was a regression of what I still believe is a perfect UX metaphor for computing. Gnome 2 was perfect in every way. I've since gone to Xfce, but it feels like Gnome 3 and beyond is trying to make using Unix fool-proof for a touchscreen paradigm, and you really can't.

You should give people the keys without difficulty, but give them everything they need to not need them. And you're never going to run Gnome on a tablet. There's no point in making everything pronounced, you'll have an input device that's not a finger on a screen. Emulating something else like Windows or macOS doesn't make you seem unique, it makes you seem similar and if the paradigms aren't the same, its confusing. Have some audacity to be different.

It's important to remember Gnome exists because KDE was in a license fiasco of its own making. And we're in a new fiasco with GTK over mismanagement.

User Experience matters. And Valve knows that very well.

Definitely not Papa John's. It is the loosest definition of pizza. Below even Chicago Deep Dish.

My favorite Papa John's memory (because if you're an American, you've been forced to eat this slop at some point) is we had an On Call shift for NCAA events (I worked at a sports site) so they ordered us pizzas, donuts, salads, the spread since we'd be there until 3am. This was three days after Papa John himself had to resign for saying gamer words. His face, prominently featured on all the boxes, had been replaced by a "Now Hiring" sticker in an inconsistent manner, which led me to believe the employees at the kitchen had some feelings about the guy...

Remember the good old days when it was just malformed text you have to solve? I miss those days. AI was complete garbage and they had to use farms of eyeballs to solve them for bots, making it a costly operation. We've now totally gotten away from all of that.

WE ARE THE EYEBALLS AND I AIN'T GETTING PAID IN WOW GOLD TO DO IT EITHER

tl;dr: The CEO said he was pro-Trump and he didn't like the shooting. Certainly not a smart thing to say but not entirely bad, right? Well, he said it to the all the customers via their mailing list.

I have just had a rough week at work due to some difficult deadlines that none of my senior managers are willing to hear out, and we lost some additional developers due to a layoff. I'm really stressed
