Being "zero waste" means that we adopt steps towards reducing personal waste and minimizing our environmental impact.

Our community places a major focus on the 5 R's: refuse, reduce, reuse, recycle, and rot. We practice this by reducing consumption, choosing reusable goods, recycling, composting, and helping each other improve.

We also recognize excess CO₂, other GHG emissions, and general resource usage as waste.

Does anyone find shampoo bars leave a waxy feeling in their hair? (self.zerowaste)

Some seem better than others but a new shampoo & conditioner bar I bought seems much worse.

I've read that it tends to happen in areas with hard water - I can't use shampoo bars for that reason.

The hardness is only 120 mg/L tho, I didn't think that was high

I've been using sante ones and find them great.

Conditioner bars, yes. Shampoo bars, no. I have tried JR Liggett's, Lush, and HiBar Green.
