Excited to buy 20 more games I won't get around to playing. Especially if they are cheap!
Low impulse control gang assemble!
I only know that feeling so well. So many games, so little time.
Steam sales haven't been good for a while unfortunately.
My strategy these past few years is to check isthereanydeal.com for any game I want during a Steam sale. Most other storefronts have their own sales around the same time as the big Steam ones and there's usually at least one that has it at a lower price. There's also a browser plugin that adds an isthereanydeal.com link to every Steam page, which makes this super easy when browsing for games.
My wedding is exactly on the 29th of July. Might have to cancel that.
my wallet isn't ready for this :(
There's a few games I've been meaning to get so I'm actually looking forward to this specific sale.
Any lists with what will be on sale?

Only a few 'confirmed' titles appeared on the promo video so far. Hope to see some big discounts
If you haven't seen a sale before it's usually a heck of a lot of stuff (feels like the whole site).
My body is ready.
My wallet on the other hand...
Great birthday present, cheers gabe
This year I will stay strong and not buy bundles that I will never play.
Looking in the Deck's direction with deep anxiety in the wallet...
I was reeeaaally tempted to get it last time it was discounted but the rational skeptic in me knows it'd be just a forgotten toy on the side within a month since I'm used to gaming on my (pretty good) desktop. Even if you travel a lot it only has a few hours of battery life so you can't take it too far from civilization anyway
Would an external battery pack be able to keep it going? I have a battery pack that claims it can put out up to 18W. It's really meant for phones, but wonder if it can keep a Steam Deck going, too?
This is the first advertisement I've seen on lemmy.
More like a heads-up. :)

Because real people don't enjoy sales?
This isn't an advertisement and tons of PC gamers love gaming sales (which can usually get quite substantial for PC games). I mean, there's a whole meme about constantly buying more games than you can play.
It's not just a meme... its a way of life
