Dubois for Laine 1 for 1 got us here. How would you have felt if it was Laine as the return for those three instead?
Laine probably would have been on the way out anyways. I'd still do that trade, over and over, even knowing this. Laine hasn't exactly panned out for Columbus either.
Seems like a huge haul for a guy they could have potentially gotten in free agency, happy for the jets though given what they gave up to acquire him.
He was an RFA, he was always either going to re-sign or be traded for a haul
