Steins;Gate is probably my favorite overall

El psy congroo, my man.
Hard to select them, Shonen: Full Metal Alchemist - Brotherhood is pure perfection but I've watch an episode of one piece every week for the past 15 years of my life so it does have a special place in my heart, despite some obvious pacing issues.
Funny: Yakitate Japan, an anime about bread baking. Super funny and engaging, sort of like a non-porny food wars mixed with Gintama.
Recent: I'm currently enjoying "campfire cooking in another world", and recently finished Yuru Camp, both really good.
Fmab is a masterpiece imo.
FMAB, HxH, to your eternity, one piece (pacing bad so I read Manga but still love the amime), steins gate, castlyvania, I'm really enjoying hells paradise right now.
Your Name! As for anime series it's Bleach.
Man, the new series of bleach is absolutely fantastic. Looking forward to the next one.
I never thought there'd be a new season.
- 1: Steins;Gate
- 2: Ginga Eiyuu Densetsu
- 3: Code Geass
I'm not into anime, but the one that blew me away was Redline.
Holy shit what a trip! I legit got an adrenaline rush watching as it went on.
Hard to pick just one, but some of my favorites are DB, Gintama, FMAB, and Samurai Champloo.
There's a lot I like, so it's really hard to choose one. But here are some of my picks for each genre:
- Slice of life: Bocchi the Rock!
- Romance: Love is War
- Comedy: KonoSuba
- Isekai: Re:Zero
- Drama: AnoHana

To name a few:
- naruto
- space brothers
- Vinland saga
Fingers crossed Boruto isn't so shit after this break.
I wanted to like that show so bad, just can't do it
There's a couple bits that are okay. Out of the hundreds of episodes, there's probably about 30 that are pretty decent. However, like 10 of those can be watched in the film instead.
Is that dude still punching dinosaurs?
I just can't. It's worth rewatching Naruto over Boruto
- Madoka
- Utena
- Eva
- Haruhi
All I remember about Haruhi is sitting through the same episode 8 times, haha.
Yeah, I skipped that part.
I should also put in a good word for Macross Plus, Cowboy Bebop, and really anything else with music by Yoko Kanno.
Also, I'm sure there are other folks out there who also thought that the Netflix live-action Cowboy Bebop was actually a pretty goddamn good adaptation.
Hunter x Hunter, Way of the househusband, Puella Magi Madoka Magica, and Fullmetal Alchemist, both the original and Brotherhood
I watched about 60 episodes of Hunter x Hunter and didn't really understand the praise it gets compared to other similar long-running shounen anime, personally. I kept waiting for it to get good, but was told if I didn't always think it was good while watching it, I probably wouldn't change my mind.
Fair enough, it's definitely not for everyone. I think that's also before the Chimera Ant arc, which is the point at which the anime becomes incredibly dark and changes tone.
They were in a tournament in York New City, if I remember correctly.
Perhaps the bar was set too high for me by all the praise. Maybe I wouldn't have liked Dragonball either if I went in thinking it was the best anime ever made, haha.
Jojo
My number one anime of all time is Full Metal Alchemist brotherhood. It has a very original storyline with great character development. It's also packed with action while also having emotional scenes that get you in the feels.
It's one of my favorite pieces of media of all time even. I loved it.
Definitely Violet Evergarden. I’ve never cried so much. Mob Psycho is also amazing
Not a weeb, but Attack on Titan is pretty sweet.
I liked the part where they attacked the titan.
Love, Chunibyo, & Other Delusions - it's a really cute anime with two high schoolers that have the imagination of a toddler. Kind of how we all acted as our childhood role models. I really enjoyed how wholesome the anime is and it definitely explores the art of cringe in a fun way.
Yeah, loved that one. KyoAni rarely misses though, haha.
