Maybe because of nostalgia, but I will always come back to the Fable 1 and 2 OSTs. Especially Fable 1. Bowerstone especially I love.

I love the Deus Ex: Human Revolution OST: It vaguely reminds me of Vangelis' Blade Runner OST.

Legend of Heroes has many of my favorite soundtracks. Hard to pick which one is my favorite because so much of them are absolute banger

Star Control 2. 4 musicians contributed without collaborating directly, resulting in many creative alien races having unique and memorable theme music.

This is going way back, but the 7th Guest soundtrack had lived in my head since the first time I saw the game. Really great atmosphere, equal parts creepy and playful, perfect mood for a haunted mansion filled with puzzles.

That one single song that played on the load screen of Boiling Point - Road to Hell. It was incredibly good and I still listen to it from time to time. Boiling Point Road to Hell Main Theme

• Digital devil saga: The tracks brings me to a very cozy dystopian
• Mega man zero 2: The sound track of the opening stage is just so damn good
• Ghost trick: Can't wait for the new arranged version for the remake

Ocarina Of Time - nothing else comes close really.

I also liked The Witcher 3.

Silent Hill 1 to 4 by Akira Yamaoka. Atmospheric and dreamlike.

Shadow of the colossus by Kow Otani. Epic and mystical.

Guild Wars 2 for sure. It's one of the games where I never turn the music off.

Final Fantasy IV (released as FFII in North America) is my favorite of all time, just gorgeous. Shout out to Tony Hawk Pro Skater 4 as well, for bringing a nice mix of rock and hip-hop subgenres into our homes.

The songs from the first Life is Strange just hit different. Paradise Killer OSTs are also bangers

Chorus is an underrated game with an amazing main theme

Age of Empires 2 The Conquerors

The Bomberman Hero soundtrack slaps.

Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus has a really cool, cyber-gothic OST.

I gotta give a shout-out to Portal 2, maybe not my personal favorite but probably the soundtrack I appreciate the most. It uses music almost like sound effects, with different stems emanating from different test elements, and turning on/off based on their status. I even made my first video essay about it because there's just so much cool stuff going on.

Visual Novels usually have pretty good OSTs, such as Danganronpa 2 and Umineko no Naku Koro ni

Basically any Pokemon game.

And this one's incredibly niche, but the music in Clicker Heroes 2 slaps.

Halo 3:ODST, especially Deference for Darkness. Great mood music.

Star Control 2 The Talos Principle The Outer Wilds

Taking it way back to the OG Unreal. The game was amazing as well as the music.

There's some stuff across the Metal Gear Solid series that's pretty memorable.

Mega Man X for SNES is one of my favorites. In the PSP remake, the re-recorded all the original 16-bit songs with live instruments. It's amazing.

Every Korean anime online game i've ever played has had an unnecessarily good soundtrack. Maplestory, Mabinogi, LaTale, S4League, GunZ: The duel, the list literally never ends.

Far Cry 5. It's probably the only game I've played that has the same songs written in totally distinct music styles. Each song, like "We Will Rise Again", is written as:

• A church hymnal (men and women's mixed chorus)

• A folk song (bluegrass inspired, fiddles, acoustic guitars, and steel harps)

• An ethereal rendition by Hammock that evokes the "bliss" part of the game world that the character Faith rules.

It's amazing that all three of these songs are the same in lyrics and meaning, but their execution is completely different and had very different emotional feels as a result.

Child of Light, Hades, Bastion, Icewind Dale, Dragon Age (any of them really), Heroes of Might and Magic 3-5, Dead Cells, Endless Legend, Pillars of Eternity, Pokemon Violet. Also Warframe, especially from The Second Dream and further period.

I never get tired of it. i just wish the tracks were longer. :)
