Sewing, Repairing and Reducing Waste
A place to share ideas, knowledge and creations with textiles. The focus is on reducing waste, whether that be sewing from the scraps left from other projects, using the end of rolls and remnants, or repairing and remaking finished pieces.
Thanks! I was really pleased with how it worked out.
That looks fantastic!
I love it! It has a slightly shibui look.
The stripes meant I didn't need to do any marking, just cut along the lines!
The universal godsend in any sewing 😩👌
Also what kinda jam?
I'm not sure what type of jam, I made quite a few this year! Most likely a strawberry (maybe strawberry & apple) and a mix I did with plum, peach, apricot and grape.
Do the straps have a raw edge? A rectangular piece would have some folds in it to make a box shape. How did you handle that, cut off the excess or integrate it into e.g. the bottom?
