Since 2016, Democrats have operationally withdrawn from rural America. No party can win nationally without rural voters, and progressive economics have plenty to offer, if only the party would embrace them.

Since 2016, Democrats have operationally withdrawn from ~~rural~~ America.

FTFY.

Democrats have thrown in the towel on all Americans that aren't billionaire political donors.

well they have the same donors as the gop, the backdoor deals are done bipartisanly. the Dinos benefit from what the gop passes in general.

This isn't a since 2016 thing. This is nearly a since 1980s thing. But here's the thing. Anyone waiting for a National Party to anoint someone for them. Has already failed. The reason the National Party doesn't help you. Is that you don't help them. And that is on them.

We need to stop waiting around for some detached and uncaring National Party to magically start caring about us. Rebuild our local and State parties ourselves. Take leadership back for ourselves. Only once the national party has become irrelevant or disposable will they actually care about us.

The Democrats flat out passed on a U.S. senate race in Nebraska in 2024.

This is one of the reasons Obama did well. He focused on these areas more than previous and subsequent democrats.
