rule #1: be kind
No
I mean, in an atmosphere of pure oxygen, technically...
In his view, the missing factor is that other animals don’t tend to “wrap themselves up in blankets and drink whiskey and smoke,” he says.
But what is they did?
John DeHaan, a forensic scientist, set fire to a pig carcass wrapped in blankets
Science!
At least they had the decency to use a dead pig
But living burning pigs are hilarious!
At least according to toddler me who invented a "joke" about a burning pig which was put out by a firefighter. I thought it was hilarious. A burning pig! The firefighter was soooo confused!
other animals don’t tend to “wrap themselves up in blankets
uh lots of animals are naturally wrapped in blankets, and fat for that matter.
Fat sheep is hella flammable
I clicked on them in Warcraft 3
Why is it that I cannot find a science community that actually posts good science?
I mean it could be argued that discussing the myth of spontaneous combustion, is in a way pop science for a lot of people and that's okay.
But I just can't seem to find a place that isn't saturated with either finger-puppet style posts, or completely overwhelmed with new "theories" that are actually just new, jobless phd grads who have to scramble to try to get funding and they're publishing bullshit to do that.
Whyyyyyy
Smoking causes spontaneous human combustion. Which means it is not spontaneous.
no lol
The flame is the soul’s breath. The black smoke is the soul’s release. Ashes thou wert and art. May thy soul return to the great flame of fire. Látom.
Oh, I've seen that anime. It's a pretty good show, but a bit too much fanservice at times.
