@[email protected] fedia.io was being swamped with crawlers from thousands of IPs causing the site to grind to a halt and periodically crash. I had to limit access to only logged in users while I try to sort out a better way to manage all those crawlers.
@[email protected] Is Fedia another alternative to Lemmy? Or is it a Lemmy instance? I'm having a hard time figuring it out.
@toothpaste_[email protected] It's either Lemmy instance or a Mbin instance. They're similar softwares that serve the same purpose but with different features. Mbin is a fork of the defunct Kbin.
I don't know which it is, but it's one of those, not its own thing.
