Sounds more like something Diogenes would do, I think...
Comic Strips
Comic Strips is a community for those who love comic stories.
The rules are simple:
- The post can be a single image, an image gallery, or a link to a specific comic hosted on another site (the author's website, for instance).
- The comic must be a complete story.
- If it is an external link, it must be to a specific story, not to the root of the site.
- You may post comics from others or your own.
- If you are posting a comic of your own, a maximum of one per week is allowed (I know, your comics are great, but this rule helps avoid spam).
- The comic can be in any language, but if it's not in English, OP must include an English translation in the post's 'body' field (note: you don't need to select a specific language when posting a comic).
- Politeness.
- Adult content is not allowed. This community aims to be fun for people of all ages.

The difference being that Diogenes only would be doing this to show the Prince to be a fool and not be seeking further interaction except, perhaps, further mockery.
I also want to say that Diogenes was far more interested in women than he was in men, given that at least one of his affairs is fairly well known. The same cannot be said for Socrates.

Fair enough, Diogenes wouldn't own a fancy dress either, but I was referring to the way that character argued and messed with the other one; it just seems to fit more with Diogenes than Socrates.
Loving regardless of physical appearance doesn't follow from loving for more than just physical appearance.
(I suspect that "don't be shallow" is the sort of advice that people often feel good giving but don't sincerely believe, but even the most sincerely non-shallow person generally can't simply ignore sexual orientation. Once you allow for sexual orientation, then you're already at the point where certain details of a person's physical appearance are absolutely critical for romantic love.)
Demisexual people don't feel sexual attraction based on looks or appearance. Only when an emotional bond has been formed (usually based on personality), do they feel sexual attraction to another person.
I wouldn't know, but I'd wager that they do feel sexually repulsed by some people though, just based on physical characteristics. Most people don't desire to have sex with unclean people, for example. It's just a natural factor of how we evolved, for health, safety, healthy offspring, whatever.
Chivalry in a nutshell.
When I was a kid, I always get weirded out by stories/fables about princes saving princesses.
Like... Why can't a Regent Queen save a man she likes? (oh yea patriarchy, fuck that shit)
she was a trophy wife
Holy fucking shit that ending got me SOO good XD
Even better!
