People say that about Canada too.

People are just as much assholes as everywhere else. I’d even say the British were nicer when I went there.

We just, culturally, compulsively apologize for being even a little bit in someone’s way when we are walking places.

Not sure if it was because I spent 7 months in China right before going there but Australians were very nice to me(a Canadian). This would have been about 2008ish. I always felt very safe in their company. Hope to go back some day.

I was just a kid but Australian kids were super mean in my experience, like pretty vicious if you showed vulnerability.
