Is it just me or does it increasingly seem like almost everything increases one's risk of Alzheimer's? Great progress is being made, but it's crazy how varied the apparent risk factors can be.

Treating cold sores with anti-virals ‘may slash risk of developing Alzheimer’s’
(www.independent.co.uk)
I don't remember ever seeing anything increase the risk of Alzheimer
And why can’t you remember?
Thank you. With everybody giving me serious replies I was starting to think I had mixed up different diseases.
I don't remember anything
A few days ago there was a study showing that people who live within a few miles of a golf course raises chances of alzheimers over 100 percent
I'd like to see two things.
- The demographics of people who live within a few miles of golf courses. Are they wealthier with better Healthcare, allowing them to live long enough to develop Alzheimer's?
- Were pesticides used heavily in the golf courses surveyed?
As with all statistics, more data = context.
I think its mostly about the pesticide. I live across the street from a golf course and am by no means wealthy.
Well it seems not getting cold sores increases the risk...
